11/2020   As the Corona rules are getting more restrictive, the health office (Gesundheitsamt) has decided to go one step further in canteens and sit children 1.50 m apart from one another. This will be applied in the secondary school from next Monday, the 30th of November.   For pupils eating in the 6th period at 12:40 pm, they can all come at the indicated time. They will find their tablets already placed on the tables, 1.50 m apart from one another.   For pupils eating in the 7th period there will be 2 services from Monday to Thursday. - 1st service: yellow group (1:30 pm) - 2nd service: blue group (1:55 pm) On Fridays, all concerned students can come at 1:30 pm. 11/2020   As the Corona rules are getting more restrictive, the health office (Gesundheitsamt) has decided to go one step further in canteens and sit children 1,50 m apart from one another.   Therefore the school, canteen provider Il Cielo and the Parents' Association have to take the necessary measures and implement this within the primary school canteen.   As a consequence there are not enough sitting places available within the canteen premises.   11/2020   As the Corona situation is currently worsening in Munich, the school is going to adopt a new plan in the canteen of the primary school (communication from the school will follow next week).   Our service provider Il Cielo must therefore change its ordering procedure and kindly asks you the following: - for the week from Monday 9.11. to Friday 13.11. please place your order in the online portal of Il Cielo (https://www.ilcielo.de/ihr-login/) until Sunday 8.11. the latest. - for the following weeks please always place your order until Friday evening in advance of the coming week. (e.g. order to be placed latest on Friday the 13.11. for the week from Monday 16.11 to Friday 20.11)   This concerns all pupils, Abo-orderings as well as “Spontan” eaters.   11/2020   Today we were notified by the ESM management that the extra-curricular activities (including music courses) in the school premises can continue this week as planned. The canteen, transport and garderie services will also continue as usual this week. The situation will be reassessed on November 5th. 09/2020 From now on, the HS students can eat in the canteen during their break: those who have break in the 6th period go to the canteen at 12:40 pm, and those who have break in the 7th period, can eat in the canteen at 1:30 pm. Every student who has pre-ordered lunch in the Il Cielo Booking System will find it at the table assigned to them and their classes.   Students who bring their lunch from home can use the cold cafeteria upstairs.   On the contrary to what Il Cielo said in their communication last week, we strongly encourage you to make the reservations on a weekly basis, always until Sunday for the whole following week. 09/2020   ASSOCIATION   Finally, also our newsletter for the new school year! We apologize for not being able to send it earlier. The school management decided which education model should finally be implemented only a few days before school start. Also, the Bavarian authorities did not really help us in this situation. This caused the necessity to rapidly modify/adapt all our services. Notwithstanding some problems, we are now on the good run and managed to start all of them. 07/2020 We sincerely hope that the canteen will be back in normal operation from September and that the children will be able to get a warm meal.   05/2020 Information about the Partial Opening of ESM   Transport As the concerned parents have already been informed separately, the school buses for primary school classes P1 and P5 are being organized. The school buses will also be available for the planned opening of the school for P2, P3 and P4. You will receive information about this in a timely manner. Unfortunately, kindergarten children are not allowed in the school buses at the moment because we cannot guarantee the requirement of travelling with their siblings. All shuttle buses between ESM and EPO remain canceled as no garderie services are allowed at the moment.   Garderie Due to the precaution not to mix the pupils, the after school care is cancelled until further notice. Regarding the final bill, RUF has now decided not to charge the parents for June. This is a compensation for the services not provided by RUF as from mid-March to June. 03/2020  The corona pandemic continues to expand and in Bavaria school classes cannot take place until April 19th, 2020. As you read in the message from ESM Director Anton Hrovath on March 13th, 2020, the European School Munich stays closed until then. Extra-curricular Activities The school closure also applies to our entire offer of extra-curricular activities. It is not yet clear if the courses continue as of April 20th, 2020. We will let you know as soon as new information is available. For the moment, it means the following for the extra-curricular courses (except music courses): Regrettably, we have to cancel the courses until April 19th, 2020. We will try to organize additional dates for the canceled course units, either after the end of the currently planned course end or by extending the individual course hours. 03/2020  As you were informed yesterday, the European School Munich will be closed for the next 14 days starting Monday, 09.03.2020.   For this reason, the Parents' Association will suspend all secondary school activities and all after-school care for the next 14 days. This also includes courses held at other locations, as we cannot and do not want to make any exceptions in the interest of all families and course teachers.
